Important Notice: AI Errors, User Responsibility & Hold Harmless
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING SAL:
Artificial intelligence inherently makes mistakes. Sal is powered by artificial intelligence models that can and do hallucinate, omit critical facts, and generate inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated responses. All outputs, answers, summaries, code, and recommendations from Sal are provided strictly on an “as is” assistive basis.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Sal, you explicitly agree that:
- You explicitly take sole responsibility for reviewing and verifying all AI outputs for accuracy, completeness, and suitability before relying on or acting upon them. Never treat Sal’s responses as infallible truth or final verified work without your own independent human judgment and verification.
- You assume full, exclusive responsibility for your own subsequent actions, decisions, omissions, communications, and workflows arising out of, resulting from, or influenced by responses, advice, or suggestions received from Sal.
- You hold HelloPartner.ai LLC completely harmless from and against any and all damages, liabilities, losses, claims, proceedings, expenses, or costs (including direct, indirect, consequential, economic, or punitive damages) arising out of or related to incorporating AI responses into your decision-making, planning, and actions.
1. Who We Are
HelloPartner.ai LLC is a California limited liability company doing business as "HelloPartner.ai." When this agreement says "we," "us," or "our," it means HelloPartner.ai LLC. When it says "you" or "your," it means the person who downloaded, installed, or is using Sal.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Sal. By downloading or using the application, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. What You're Getting
When you purchase or receive a license key for Sal, we are granting you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the application on one Mac that you own or control.
This is a license — not a sale of the software itself. You own your Mac. You own every file, conversation, and artifact that Sal creates for you. But Sal herself — the application, the code, the design, and the brand — belongs to us.
3. The Beta Program
If you joined during the open beta period (before June 1, 2026), you received free access and a permanent license key. That promise stands — your beta key is yours to keep, no strings attached.
Beta software is provided as-is. Features may change, evolve, or occasionally break. We work hard to keep things stable, but the nature of a beta means you're getting early access to a product that's still being polished. We appreciate your patience — and your feedback.
4. What You Can Do
- Use Sal for anything legal. Personal projects, professional work, creative writing, research, daily planning — that's what she's built for.
- Install Sal on one Mac. If you have a second Mac and use the same iCloud account, your conversations will sync naturally via Apple's encrypted iCloud infrastructure — but the license covers one installation.
- Keep your license key. One-time purchases have no renewals, no usage caps. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
5. What You Can't Do
We trust our users. These restrictions exist to protect the product and the community:
- Don't share your license key. Each key is tied to one person. Giving it away, selling it, or posting it publicly violates this agreement.
- Don't reverse-engineer Sal. You may not decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the application.
- Don't redistribute Sal. You may not copy, resell, or repackage the application for others.
- Don't circumvent the license check. Sal verifies your key once during setup. Tampering with this process violates this agreement.
- Don't use Sal for anything illegal. This one is self-explanatory.
6. AI Outputs, Decision-Making & User Responsibility
Sal is an AI-powered assistant. The text, summaries, analysis, code, suggestions, and answers she provides are generated by local artificial intelligence models running on your hardware.
AI makes mistakes and is not infallible. Like all artificial intelligence technologies, Sal may produce responses that are inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, hallucinatory, or inappropriate for your specific circumstances or objectives.
You explicitly take full responsibility for reviewing and verifying all AI outputs for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before relying on them, executing them, or sharing them. You must exercise your own independent human verification, judgment, and discretion at all times.
You are solely responsible for your own subsequent actions, decisions, and workflows that come out of or are influenced by responses from Sal. HelloPartner.ai LLC does not direct, oversee, or control how you interpret or apply Sal’s outputs in your personal, business, financial, legal, technical, or creative matters.
You explicitly agree to hold HelloPartner.ai LLC completely harmless from and against any damages, liabilities, costs, or claims arising from or related to incorporating AI responses into your decision-making, planning, and actions.
7. Your Data Stays Yours
This is the part where most software companies write paragraphs about how they'll handle your personal information. We don't need to — because we never see it.
Everything you create, say, or share with Sal is processed and stored locally on your Mac. We have no server, no database, and no way to access your content. For the full details, read our Privacy Policy.
If you choose to uninstall Sal and delete the application folder, every trace of your data is permanently erased. There is no cloud account to close.
8. Updates
Sal checks for updates automatically in the background and installs them when available. By using Sal, you consent to receiving these updates. They may include improvements, bug fixes, new features, or updated AI models.
We reserve the right to update the AI models bundled with Sal at any time. Our goal is always to give you the best experience your hardware can deliver.
9. Third-Party Components
Sal includes open-source AI models distributed under their original licenses (primarily Apache 2.0). These models run entirely on your Mac. For details on the specific models, see the User Manual.
Sal also integrates with:
- DuckDuckGo — for private web searches, only when you explicitly ask.
- Lemon Squeezy — for one-time license key verification during setup.
- Apple Frameworks — Calendar, Reminders, and iCloud sync operate through Apple's native, encrypted APIs.
10. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If Sal isn't right for you, email us at hello@hellopartner.ai and we'll process your refund.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Sal is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind — whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that Sal will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of Liability & Hold Harmless
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HelloPartner.ai LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or adverse personal or professional outcomes — arising from your use of or inability to use Sal, or your reliance on any outputs or responses generated by Sal.
Hold Harmless and Indemnification: You explicitly agree to defend, indemnify, and hold HelloPartner.ai LLC, its founder, members, managers, officers, owners, operators, affiliates, and licensors completely harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, lawsuits, losses, judgments, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of Sal, your violation of these Terms, or your incorporation of AI-generated responses into your decision-making, subsequent actions, or work product.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims related to this agreement shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license — which is $15, or $0 if you received a free beta key.
13. Termination
By you: You can stop using Sal at any time. Uninstall the app, delete the folder, and you're done. No cancellation needed.
By us: We may deactivate your license key if we determine that you have violated this agreement — specifically, sharing keys, tampering with the license system, or using Sal for illegal purposes. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you first.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update this agreement from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sal after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
For material changes — anything that significantly affects your rights — we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the application or by email.
15. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in California.
